We understand how important visiting in person and meeting staff and pupils is in choosing the right school for your family.
We try to make it as easy as possible for you to visit the School as often as you need to.
Open Days at Pocklington School
We hold an Open Day each term. Our October Open Morning takes place on a Saturday and includes a presentation from our Headmaster, as well as tours of our Schools and boarding houses, other key staff are available to answer any questions you have about the various aspects of the school.
Our March and June Open Days take place during the school week. These offer the perfect opportunity to see the School on a normal working day with a student-guided tour around our spacious 50-acre campus and extensive facilities, including a visit to our well-appointed boarding houses.
Our next open day will take place in March 2025.
You are very welcome to visit anytime. To arrange a visit, click above or if you have any questions, please contact our Admissions Team or call Gemma Briggs.
Arranging an
individual visit
Prospective parents and their children are very welcome to visit the School along with other relatives, including grandparents. We recommend visiting on a normal school day during the term if possible to enable you to meet the staff and pupils. If this is not possible, visits can be arranged during the school holidays.
A typical visit will include a meeting with the Head, a tour of the School (including a tour of a boarding house if appropriate) and possibly lunch (depending on timings) with a member of staff. Tours can be tailored to meet individual interests and requirements, and meetings with specific members of staff can be booked in advance. If you have particular requirements, please ask at the time of booking.
