Over the course of three nights, pupils from the First and Second Years showcased their talents in an adaptation of C.S. Lewis' cherished tale, The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, executed with remarkable finesse by all pupils.
Narnia - an enchanting production
The Lower School pupils beckoned audiences to step through the enchanted wardrobe into the magical realm of Narnia. The onlookers watched intently, whilst they journeyed alongside the characters Lucy, Edmund, Susan, and Peter as they encountered new allies, confronted perilous enemies, and learned the lessons of courage, sacrifice, and the transformative power of love.
The imaginative set, lighting, sound, and costume design elevated the production into a visually stunning spectacle. The world of Narnia came alive through intricate props, dynamic movement, falling snow, and puppetry, captivating audiences of all ages.
One of the standout moments was undeniably Aslan’s grand entrance. Brought to life by three skilled puppeteers, the giant puppet prowled the Tom Stoppard Theatre stage with grandeur, accompanied by swelling music that left the audience in awe.
"Just a quick line to say how much I enjoyed the production last night. The set, staging and costumes all looked wonderful and really brought Narnia to life whilst all the pupils did fantastically well."
